Great And Still

Great

Poetry is like an eye

Leading to the depths of a soul.

The longer you look,

the deeper you go.

And

Wry words spoken by many

Toll in voices of poets past.

Egging us onward

plus giving us hope.

Still

Blenny like, we have become.

Cast apart, relying on none.

Poetry in vain,

No one truly looks.
