Into the Great Beyond

Life is unlivable

Without the sounds of music

Carrying one away

From forced societal functions.

Music fills the depths of one’s soul,

It chases away the demons of the mind,

The agonies of the heart.

Music ties together the broken bits,

The pieces that seemed too far gone.

Music is the hope of a new day,

The promise that tomorrow comes.

It is, in itself, a lullaby,

Sweet as mother sings,

Rich in father’s tone.

Music is a void to be lost in,

A venture behind reality,

Into the Great Beyond.
