Great Depression

World war one just ended

Men and women are exhausted

Stock market begins its rise

Becoming the year of unwise eyes

So many things to buy that year

Toys became a bundle of joy

Cars and shoes were overproduced

They called it the roaring twenties

Middle-class men's pockets were emptied

The Stocks reached a 10-year high

Time for people to invest and buy

Sales moved faster than a cheetah

Almost eaten by a hyena

When it went to the highest peak

The next day became the day of bleak

Now everyone calls it the black Tuesday

But everyone thought it was the great doomsday

People's faces looked like death

Everyone is tired and out of breath

Now it’s just a matter of time

To make amends and everything will be fine

The year was 1933 Roosevelt was elected

Made the new deal And left Hoover neglected

The new deal became the new structure of economy

While also providing jobs for the jobless steadily
