The Great Divide

Tue, 04/11/2017 - 16:54 -- albx927

Father and daughter

Mother and son

Torn at the dining room table

Food and words flying about sPewed in every direction with no true target

The streets are littered with insults and hate

The ideals of the many walk the streets like hungry wolves

The ideals of the fEw cowered in the corner...

Hoping to see daylight once more

A nation divided

Two halves of A whole fighting, loCked in heated battle

Smoking key boards and raised signs

They say there was a time when the air was sweet and neighbor knew neighbor

But now there's only hatrEd

Hatred that fuels the machines of war

Decimating the weak and the innocent
