Great Expectations

Sat, 06/28/2014 - 13:19 -- aowalla

We moved perpendicularly,

Bringing with us no exact intentions.

We wore binoculars at our eyes, aimed at the future

But we looked through rosy lenses.

We hoped without restriction,

An established frame of mind,

Our inspirations were rooted in the other.

But in one flash, the flame blew out,

Our growth ceased to be,

And I was left only with your aquamarine eyes.
