The Great I Am
I am redeemed
I was just wasting time, counting the days till I would die
I lived for me, and a few loved ones
I lost a lot along the way and tried to claw my way to what I thought was safety
I was deceived
I made reckless choices that wrecked my voice as I hid it from the world
I let my enemies step all over me
I let them tell me I was a failure
But now I have found the only thing that will satisfy my hungry soul
My hunger for the world no longer takes its toll
After all the searching I finally know what I was missing
The only thing that could fill the void in my soul that was gaping and growing
I have peace and I have a Father
I am a new creation in Christ
