The Great Wall

Great Wall

So big, so vast

Great Wall

Big structure, long

Accomplishment

Over valleys, mountains

Gobi Desert

Harsh, hot, dry

Still stretches

On and on

Lots of workers work

Hard, no rest

On and on

That Great Wall

Still stretches

Workers die in their efforts

Oh, that Great Wall

Built, done

Long stands she

Erosion

Gone

China forever proud

Of that Great Wall

This is a poem I wrote awhile ago. It signifies how important the Great Wall is to China, and it is one of my favorite poems about history. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do.
