The Greatest Gift

The power to change one thing, the power to write a wrong. The power to move a life or many, the power to lessen a fall. One friend is all I ask. One friend for everyone. To carry the burdens, to lessen the pain, to experience adventures untold. The power to change one thing, the power to write a wrong. The power to change a story, the power to help stand tall. One friend is all I ask. One friend to share the secrets. To spend long nights, to share cold days, to brighten even the sun. The power to change one thing, the power to write a wrong. The power to make a new day shared, feel like an age old song.
