Greatness

She knew she was meant for greatness But it eluded her She knew delay wasn't denial but it never visited her She dreamt of it, lived with it but unfortunately woke up to the same ordinary life. Days and weeks finally turns into months and years before it dawns on her that greatness doesn't come calling but waits to be called upon by one's deeds and actions. Alas, it took scores of years to get to this moment as she finally lays down her pen, ending the story of her search for greatness.
