Greatness

Greatness

The time has come, the time has come for me

I’m no longer little,my journey is just beginning

My parents are my guide, they can’t do everything for me

A look through my father’s eyes shows what life is going to be bringing

Demands were being made, the everyday tasks were becoming harder

My anxiety grew to fear, I was too scared to bother.

I stopped being me as things were going in a different direction

As I was facing adversity, I started looking for something to blame

The world is filled with sun, at times it’s covered by clouds

Life is about moving forward and getting back up when you are knocked down

As a child you learn, your parents taught you what’s best

After they did their part is up to me to do the rest

I face my challenges and I do it with a smile

When darkness comes, it’s only there for a while

My father and mother did everything they could, finally they could be at rest

I learn how to conquer adversity, trouble times, and tragedies in order to reach greatness.
