Greedy Eyes

you saw me as an object

a side piece you could show off as something only you could have

you yelled cried and hurt me

always something i did wrong

left me battered and empty

i was in denial that it was bad for me

waking in the middle of the night gasping for air

will i survive

Now I look back and see the damage done.

I know my value, I know my worth.

You can no longer hurt me because I am strong.

Good luck finding someone new to toy with.
