green
from space the world is blue
but right here, i swear it’s so green
i’m not sure what’s happening right now
out my window it’s like nothing i’ve ever seen
but my childhood has come & gone by
if i told you i cry myself to sleep
i’d be lying; i can’t move my aching bones
i’m too terrified of what’s at stake
this pile of sticks is not my home
by my childhood has come & gone by
the world blames me for what i’ve done to you
and all i ever hear is lie after lie
you don’t trust me because my face lacks lines of age
but my childhood has come & gone by
but my childhood has come & gone by
i just want to be green again
just be green again
i want to live in my mind
and just be green again
i just want to be loved again
oh fall or fly again
i want to be fragile
and just be green again
but my childhood has come & gone
but my childhood has come & gone
come & gone
come & gone
come & gone
