Green

When I think of the color green, I imagine happiness and growth.

Like plants, they’re growing, happy to be alive, and beautiful. I see green all around me. I see it in the trees, grass, flowers, and in you. Given it is your favorite color, but that aside, I see growth and happiness.

Going to college is allowing you to broaden your horizons and mature into the godly young man you were born to be. You can finally start doing things you want to do, things that make you happy. You now have the freedom and opportunities to shape your future that you have always been heading towards.

I used to have very little appreciation for the color green until you began making an incredible impact on my life. I never stopped to appreciate the abundance of green in my life. Yes, in the forest surrounding me, but also in less noticeable places. I now see green back home, which possesses mostly brown, in the happiness my family and friends bring me. I see green in my little apartment, because it’s my little apartment and it shows that I’m truly becoming my own person. I see green in my classes because of the opportunities they are presenting to me for my future. I see green in myself. Because of you, I appreciate my intelligence and beauty a great deal more.

You make me feel special and wanted and genuinely cared for, and that makes me happy and able to be more comfortable with myself. I am more confident because of you, and because of you, I have turned green.

Happy and growing.
