Green

Do you remember the defining moments of your life?

The ones who taught you to be kind

Taught you to quiet your mind and feel

Taught you resilience and strength

The color green was my moment

I saw it in the trees that I climbed

The grass during the last lap of a track meet I won

The Mountain Dew I drank to study for finals

The color of my lover's eyes when she said I love you

Green has inspired me to become a conservationist

To advocate for others to find their green moments

To show how green can impact them

To see green in others' eyes when they realize

Green must stay
