Green eyed monster

The green-eyed monster

That destroys all that stands

The menacing plane that never lands

That fully engulfs with its out stretched hands

The green-eyed monster

That bites and gnaws

The terrible beast that traps in its jaws

That suffocates without pause

The green-eyed monster

 That lives inside you

The monster that infects all like the flu

That turns your thoughts and vision askew

The green-eyed monster

That only affects the beholder

The giant weight on your chest like a boulder

That makes the world all the much colder

The green-eyed monster

That is jealousy

The feeling that makes you act carelessly

That twists and turns your brain so helplessly

The green-eyed monster

That makes you an imposter
