Green Light

The race is starting soon

Each one ready to take flight

For the moment opportune

Waiting for the green light.

Young and old and in between

Red and yellow, black and white,

Every person ever seen

Waiting for the green light.

Some will run for good

For a chance to be a light

But there are other folks who would

Much rather blow a hurtful bite.

Some people fight for change

Others try to lock them tight

Some help the weak and strange

Others leave them to their plight.

So come on, join the run!

Do your best to spread delight!

No more waiting, stalling's done,

This is our green light!
