Green Monster

Some say jealousy is a prideful thing,

When in fact pride has nothing to do with it

Jealousy is the little green monster,

Scheming while sitting on your shoulder

Its quite hard to say what feeds this creature,

But I say its your attitude.

When your sour, he'll devour

If your sweet, it'll make him weak

Now how to get rid of such a thing

There really is no answer but self-esteem.

Think highly of yourself and smile.

Don't let it control,

Step-up to the plate,

And be not influenced

By jealousy's green grip.

When you feel like he's slowly moving in,

Push him away and say, "You'll not have me"

And then leave it at that.

Stay strong my friends, in all you do,

And let not the green monster take control of you.
