Green Sweater

I told all my secrets to

A boy in a green sweater.

We had never spoken before

But we found one another

Under a big oak tree.

I found solace in his caramel eyes

And his vibe that was like my own.

We spoke for hours and hours

Until we knew everything about each other.

We said our goodbyes by latching pinkies

As if to signify tying a string

That would somehow keep us connected

I haven't said  word to him since.

But every single day I see him,

Every single day we share a simple smile.

Remembering the secrets that lie

Within his green sweater and caramel eyes.

This is poetic dynamite! Wow! The lead in lines have the feel of something very if I had read them in literature class. Great job!
