I envy you
How you
Work
Exist
I envy how you breathe
Without feeling risk
I envy how you speak
How your gaze can meet their eyes
How you don’t lose yourself
Ripping through their mind
I envy how my life’s better than yours
But your mind is clearer than mine
I’d give it all up for you
You’d use it better than I.
I envy how you love and feel
Don’t drown in logistics
Nor question if it’s real
If your imagination invented this
Or if it’s a story you often steal
I envy how you rise
When sunlight hits your skin
While I’m tangled in my sheets
Behind walls that have always been
I envy your love for existence
Don’t question it all
Just living for experience
Just browsing the hall
I envy the world you live in
I wonder if you’d survive in mine
I wonder if it wouldn’t faze you at all
Because ultimately…
We choose what we’ll see outside
