Grew Up In The City

Grew up in the city

I was born in New York

Life seemed to take pity

As my dad was a real piece of work.

I couldn't understand

Why I grew up so fast

We moved around alot

Just couldn't find a spot.

No place to call home

No family to visit

Until that one day

I was no longer alone.
