Grey Breath

Pulling at us

Down from underneath

Tugging your eyelids

’til you are no more

Conciousness is naught but a dream

Movement and life farther than it seems

Grey is the only color around

It seeps deep beneath

Invading the ground

It curls deep inside

Bringing silence

Quieting the rebellious mind

Nothing is left but a soft rise and fall

Sleep’s deep voice

Softened in breath

Stilling all

So close to his brother

Side by side

The same yet different

Sleep and Death

One and all

We live life for the relationships within it. What is life without love? Poetry, no matter how clumsily expressed is love.
