Grief

When the music is so loud cause

You’re trying to drown out the

            Sound of your own thoughts

When the room is so bright in

The middle of the night because

            You can’t stand the dark

When you’ve listened to every sad

Song on the planet and none

Of them do your feelings justice

When you can’t eat of drink cause

The desire is gone and everything

Is bland and chokes you anyway

When you try to put pain on paper

            But no words can accurately

            Describe the way you feel

When you can literally feel your

            Heart burst into a million

Pieces and can’t stop the tears

            From flowing

I can’t live without you

I can’t live without you, baby
