Grief

Why are we sad?

Why are we falling apart?

And why do we cry

When there is nothing we feel?

Why do we yell

When it only brings us pain?

And the one thing we want

Shouting will never bring.

Why are our tears

Described in different meanings?

It's a joke when we do not know

Whether we're happy, sad, or laughing.

No one knows for sure

When or why we're sad.

This grief is but our own

And none may ever know.
