Grief My Old Friend

Each step taken for me is hard

I see him in the dark, so I know to run

I scream, because I know, I won't make it far

Nearly saying that, I know he sees me

Run!  Run!

Out of breath and I fall, yet I can't stop falling

Oh no, for that means that he's found me

My dear old friend Grief

I thought I hid from you

But I guess you know your cue

Stop it!

 You get me trouble!

I know she's gone, but I can bring her back

But why would she leave me

If only I spent more time with her

But no!  She's really gone, I need her back

I need to get her back!

Grief,  old buddy, thank you, but I must be going

I need to find my dear old lover Happiness

For she is gone and its now my mission to recover this stolen possession
