Grief-stricken

A wave of grief engulfed her a bad dream she couldn't shake off It ripped through to her core consumed by breath-robbing sobs No reprieve from her anguish it became a nauseating pain the violence of her strong grief  changed to passive resistance Bore the stamp of inexpressible woe She sank into nothing but this grief pressed so painfully, weighed her down  knocking the breath from her Joy is overflowed by the grief within her lost in a vast ocean with no paddle It crept too deep and robbed her essence It danced merrily and feasted on her body
