Grieving Ocean
Loss is like the ocean,
Coming in and out,
In a constant motion,
Bringing memories to think about.
The denial like a cliff,
Slowly eroding away,
Causing you to think, "what if?"
Trying to keep the tears at bay.
The anger like a storm,
Dark clouds rolling in,
Just trying to stay warm,
But my patience wearing thin.
The bargaining like a fish,
Swimming to find a solution,
Hoping yo uhh got just one wish,
But is being stopped by pollution.
The depression like a boat,
Lost within the night,
Trying to stay afloat,
Holding on with all your might.
The acceptance like the land,
Keeping you hopeful and strong,
Taking you by the hand,
Researching you how to love long.
