Grieving for Pediatric Oncology
Tick tock tick tock
Time starts to slip away
as you did
While I decide on a career
while you are gone
I try to see the light
To make positives out of your passage
But it takes all I have
To not slip away too
The children, will they remind me?
Of the nephew that left too soon
Will I see your face in each of theirs?
While they suffer what you went through
I will stay strong
I will help these children conquer the demon
But all the while
I'll be thinking of you
Everything I do, is for you
