From the Ground Up
I am a collection of the mistakes and dreams of those that I've loved
A mind that never stops moving, accompanied by a heart that feels every beat and every tear
A soul like mine is fortunate for love
I understand the strength in sensitivity and just when struggle is finally starting to seem beautiful
I begin to feel my grip slipping
Quick, grab a different rung
No, not that one
Reach further, try harder
I begin to realize my body shaking
Quick, call for help
No, they won't understand
Now I can hardly feel my chest sink back into my body as you kindly excuse yourself from the room
But please, let me fall
Becuase I am grounded by your love
And tomorrow I will have strength to try again
