From the Ground Up

Tall we stood and still we stand, on a rock not stuck in sand

All my love in yours, while your love penetrates my hand

You raised me up so I could see, all God's love, your energy

The way you talk and speak of dreams, the way your love bursts at the seams

I know your hopes, fears, and tears, I love them all till end of years

I fell once and fall once more, but you bring me back with love galore!

An outsretched arm and open ears, listening, pale pink volunteers.

Now as you fall into the night, all hope is lost without a light

My turn to rise to raise you high, show you love with light of sky

Lend you my strength and heart, force all darkest days depart

You love me in a way that builds me, a love so real it's in 3-D

You build on me and I on you, your love and essence breaking through

Two constructive parts, helping out each others hearts

Listening to worst, better, best, communication to fix the rest

From the ground up I help you and you help me, cause I love you now and for eternity.
