The Ground
My eyes are glued to the ground.
What is so interesting about it?
It’s filthy and dirty, and ew, is that gum?
Why would I rather view this monstrosity?
The scenery never changes.
Five minutes from now, the ground will be the ground.
The flooring might change, but it is still the ground.
Why not look at the people passing in the halls?
The trees outside can be really pretty.
Oh! What about the graffiti on buildings?
Anything and everything; the world is full of color.
But what do I trade it all for?
I trade it all for looking at the ground.
