Ground Zero

he shoots me in the heart

and i begin to fall off the cliff

i’m scared

i fight it

but then i let go,

i let it happen

and enjoy the fresh air

the breeze i’ve never felt before

then i see myself approaching

Ground Zero

so with my last blast of energy

i call out

for help

five inches from the ground

you sweep under me

like a magic carpet

we float away together

it feels like we could be there forever

i would float away in the clouds with you

forever
