"Grounded"
“You’re grounded! gimme your damn T.V.
You should’ve fucking listened to me.”
I was up not one hour, but two hours early.
Three hours before the bus;
One hundred eighty minutes, only fifteen to shower.
I’m a day under eighteen and you want me to decide,
But I get grounded every time that I try!
You wanna teach me
But you won’t let me learn.
Pain isn’t a reason for you to yell at me!
I’ve heard all that
“Life’s a bitch and it aint fair” shit,
But how the fuck am I to know if you ground me left and right?!
“You’re grounded, don’t fucking question me!
I don’t give a fuck, I don’t have to explain a damn thing!”
Fine then, don’t! Don’t expect me to learn anything
From a bullshit grounding
Other than how to get in trouble at the drop of a pen.
You can’t spell freedom without free,
But with me it always has a hidden fee.
I’m trying so hard to get you to see
That I’m not as bad as you’d like to think.
“You’re grounded! I’m sick and tired of your fucking mouth.
You’re almost eighteen, get the fuck outta my house!
You want me to grow up and fly the coop,
But if you ground a pilot, he’ll never learn anything new.
Oh, so I’m grounded? Then welcome to Hell because you are too.
