Grow Up.

I walk along a beaten path

at least, one that someone else has walked before.

I don’t know it,

and it seems as if looking back,

the way I felt,

Walked,

and Talked…

Was New,

Innovative,

and Creative.

But time and life has a funny way

of giving us that perfect 20/20 vision when we look back.

I notice every flaw,

crack,

and dent that made our past so rough around the edges.

How could I have been so foolish?

I walk along a beaten path,

at least, one that someone else has walked before.

10 minutes ago I was writing a poem,

and the way I felt about it was that it was

Innovative,

Creative,

and Unique.

But a lot can change in 10 minutes,

and looking back with my 20/20 vision into the past,

I think to myself,

How could I have been so foolish?
