Grow Up and Glow Up

Age is but a number

Yes, a number you see

No reason to lose slumber

Or a reason to worry

Growing up has its perks

So embrace being older

Forget the fear that lurks

Pick up your chin and straighten your shoulders

Being young was fun

Yes, I agree

But let's shine like the sun

And all be happy

With that being said

I miss the good old days

When mom tucked us into bed

And we went outside to play

Being a kid was awesome

But I'm all grown up now

Like a flower starting to blossom

Time really does fly, wow

But to grow up is to glow up

So I'll do it with pride

Now I must show up

There's no time to cower and hide

For I've know for some time now

That my childhood is behind me

It went be so quickly I don't know how

But my worries are empty

Because I've taken my baby steps

I learned to talk and how to drive

All my life I have prepped

And I'm glad to be alive

Onto college

Oh boy what a change

I've acquired so much knowledge

Well this will be strange

But this glow up is normal

I realize it now

It's like I stepped through a portal

But I know growing up will be worth it somehow
