Grow to Glow

Thu, 06/27/2019 - 15:55 -- Scrary

When a fatherly figure dims by the growing load,

drops of responsibility may unfold.

No time to play, no time waste,

for the oldest of many sibs must umbrace.

Many chores keep me busy,

but I carry on because its quite easy.

In fact it wasn’t always this way,

because today, I learned to glow-up.

When trials and hardship stormed through the door,

I learned to stand upright on the floor.

Trials like this may seem like monsters,

and they will dim all they can conquer.

But I must not fret, I must not worry,

for this is the process that isn’t blurry.

I learned to glow through responsibility,

and this formed my duribility.

In order to glow-up,

I learned to stand-up, and show-up.

This was marking a switch of which I made,

which pushed me on and bade me fair-well.

This was journey that made me grow,

this was the journey that made me glow.
