the "grow" up was real

I grew up fast, it seemed my childhood didn't last, Looking back on the past, I think of the childhood that was snatched away from me in a flash, at the age of 13 my father was stabbed along with an old woman he survived but she couldn't, I was there, I saw the old women, on the ground, with a white sheet wrapped around her body but not her feet, since then it seems her orange socks has haunted me, for the past five years I've tried to forget what I saw, but overall i've come to accept it, even though now I hate the color orange and cringe at other peoples feet, i'm grateful for being all grown up because now my past trauma doesn't control me.
