Growing

These past months,

I had lost my first love,

I had lost my best friends,

I had lost hope

No longer did air fill my lungs,

As my arms held up the weight of the world,

While my chest filled of rocks,

And my arm full of cuts

Such a bright girl

So smart, so beautiful

Full of so much potential

Yet unable to get out of bed

But look at me now

Able to look in the mirror

To love what I see

I overcame

I am strong
