Growing Up

You see the pink hitting the blue,

And rays blasting apart.

Like a child growing up,

And the parents centering back.

Watching.

Taken back.

Separated but not lost.

As the pink hits the blue,

After a while the pink fades.

Those rays went every direction,

But never lost from the blue haze.

And when the sun sets;

Dark it becomes.

The rays aren’t seen,

because they’re back visiting Mum.

Mum always welcomes,

Her little rays back home.

From every direction they come,

After having their pink fun.

No more is Mum numbed;

Now she knows sure,

Kids always come back.

And so does the sun,

With every sunset;

Or child gone to grow,

Is a new sun rise,

Or visit back home.
