Growing up

I'm pretty mature for my age. I'm not 35 or 40 no where near, I havent lived long.

Im starting my life soon and that means more bumps on the road, more paths to take and decisions to make. Living a very difficult childhood makes a kid like me mature faster then another. Less mistakes should be taken more responiblity to be added.

Growing up in a black room in fear always ready for defense. My scared mother always in front blocking my drunk father from my little brothers. Their eyes filled with tears every afternoon at 6 p.m. As the years went by the beatings stopped but yelling never did. I learned to defend myself speaking up for my mother for she had fought for me in the past, now it was my turn. It was the same routine everyday but always tried to let her rest when I came home from school. I learned everything I know from her. From cooking to cleanig, taking responsiblities helping my brothers with homework getting ready for the next day, but the most important thing she taught me was never to depend on a man for servival. Education was important to her she pushed me and pushed me so I would be better. She pushes my brothers to advance to be smart, to think, and to repect. Maturity is not in age its in your actions how you as a person speaks, how a person acts, how a person manages there problems, how they take action. Know that my life is about to change I start to look back at what I have been through the bumps on the road and the paths i have taken from this point on I look forward to what choices I will make so I can mature more then most normal teenagers my age. For I want to be the reason my little brothers look up to me to guideness.

I look forward to the day that I will look back again at what I have been through and where I am standing at that very  moment. I will know when that day is that I please my mother and thank her for helping me mature and keep up with what life throws at me. For being the person I am today and who I turn out to be.
