Growing

When I was younger and so carefree

I was living life happily

And then I started to get tall

I could tell from the lines on the wall

My legs touch the ground whenever I sit

Clothes and shoes no longer fit

I start to notice my body sprout

And my areolas stick out

I keep hearing about this a friend soon to visit me

Her name is period weird name who´s she?

Everyone asks me what I want to do when I get older

I just stare at them then shrug my shoulders

More birthdays pass and what I find in store

Is more homework, changes, and chores

Now that I´m getting ready to be on my own

I now know that I have really grown
