Growing Up

Running into open arms, looking up--

SUPERHEROES!

Brave,

Tall,

Smart,

Kind.

Walking to the waiting vehicle, looking in--

people.

Blunt,

Tired,

Scarred,

Keen.

Parents aren’t perfect-- they're human.

They feel just like we do--

They get annoyed, they get sad, they get worn out.

But above all,

They’re trying their best.
