Growing up

The road that lies before you is winding,

with both good and bad turns and time to spare.

Despite the bumps that you will be finding,

people that you love will care to be there.

Although that we all rush our lives away,

you have to try and live in the moment.

Being together forever we'll stay,

since this is your life, you have to own it.

But for the unaccounted time wasted,

when you are engulfed in greif and depair,

plenty of lovely people have hasted

"you will have to know that life is not fair."

Although you may not believe me today,

just know that everything will be okay.
