Growing

1 Corinthians 3:7       New English Translation

7 So neither the one who plants counts for anything, nor the one who waters, but God who causes the growth.

Spiritual growth will come as God guides my affections

For without my Lord and Savior, I’m undisciplined and wild

And I will bounce around with no sense of direction

And my end for certain will be classified: Defiled

We can only love God under the Spirit’s power

Far beyond the caliber of natural affection

Worldly power can’t contain the purity of God’s showers

That our Lord releases for the redeemed and their direction
