Growing Up
with their little hands and little feet they're always running towards things they just can't reach.
quick as lighting, fast as fire, blazing with innocent desires
some are objects, some are dreams.
maybe its some of each,
with their little hands and little feet they just don't understand why they can't reach.
in their head there are no boundaries,
for them its safe to have these dreams, to imagine such gigantic things
go to the moon, be a super hero, save the world and everything.
there is no such thing as "doesn't exist"
that's the moment were they dream the most magnificent things.
but now their hands are getting bigger, and their feet are getting longer,
They're growing up, they're getting older,
they can now reach everything that was once just dreams
though their dreams may have changed, and what they want is no longer the same,
and now it is no longer a game.
now with their bigger hands and longer feet they must use them to fulfill their once dreams.
there will be times they want to quit,
or to just stop and wish, that they could just go back to being kids
but that is life, and this they know,
everyone must grow up and wish to cherish those times of just being a kid.
