Growing up

I feel I'm being judged

for all I do and say.

When can I be free,

when is that day?

Looking in the mirror

I see to my surprise,

pan entirely different person

staring in my eyes.

I remember back to years

with no care nor worry.

Dancing to my own drum,

never in a hurry.

When did I grow up?

How can I get it back?

Wishing all the time

would run off its track.

That carefree little girl

who only wished to fly,

has now become a teen.

Just trying to get by.
