Growing Up To Fast
I sit working on homework
My friends all laugh and play
Their ability to gossip is astounding
I hope they don't lose their way
Hardships and troubles have riddled my life
I've learned perseverance is key
For I stopped being a kid along time ago
In hopes of helping those close to me
So while my peers are still naive
I know the the truth
Life will be especially difficult
For those who don't treasure their youth
