Growing to the Gates

Tab over and begin,

Let it flow

Or keep it in,

I don’t know…

Keep it simple or vague,

So they won’t know the difference.

Do I want it to change,

Or do I want disappearance?

Not either, not really,

That’s only dramatic.

Today to the ceiling,

Tomorrow the attic.

I’ll keep getting better,

Until I’m on cloud nine.

I don’t want to swelter,

Yes, my eternity’s on the line.

Think for the longest,

Before I decide-

My decision the strongest,

Because His voice is inside.

I won’t give up now,

Nor will I ever.

I don’t have to know,

Or even be clever.

Just trust in His plan,

Read and pray daily,

Do the best that I can,

And hopefully hear “Welcome, Bailey.”
