Growing up, I had the

Growing up, I had the perfect childhood,

Things were oh so good.

I had a dad and a mom who loved each other very much,

And a brother, which was always there with his soft touch.

As I grew older, I started to notice change,

It was so very strange.

We stopped acting as one,

And it was definetley not as much fun.

My mom and dad went separate ways,

It left my brother and I in such a haze.

All of a sudden, I was on my own,

I've never felt so alone.

After a year or two, things sort of calmed down,

I still couldnt help but frown.

And things got even worse,

As I feel like we've been put under a curse.

My brother loved to swim, so he toook a dive,

But now he's lucky he even survived.

His spine compressed, and he was then paralyzed,

The importance of life was quickly emphasized.

My stress and anxiety was through the roof,

We were really hoping this was just a spoof.

The bad days seemed to never end,

I didn't know if I would ever mend.

Our lives have been turned upside down,

and it wasn't long before it got around our small town.

It was apparent that this wasnt going away,

There's no time for dismay.

We have moved forward,

Even as the fear always bordered.

My life has changed because of all of this,

And it ultimatley has given me utter bliss.
