Growing Up to Love and Support

Past.

Who was I, and who have I become?

A year, two, maybe some.

For now I realize I have grown into a lovely flower.

Over sunsets that gleam above towers.

I have come out of my neverland and faced reality.

Past.

Up and up my confidence grows,

I love how my power shows.

Helping others to show their beauty and kindness,

I realize my happiness,

I have grown up.

Past.

Being chronically ill,

Id take many a pill,

But support I receive and show,

For others to know,

Together we shall rise above and live with love,

For each other, this, is growing up.

Future.

I will overcome,

I will reach my career and dreams,

For I have grown up.

I will not let go of the clouds as I reach for the stars,

At last I continue to grow.

Future.

My friends and foe,

I continue to show,

Love and support.

While in pain we shall expand our fort.

Our shelter of happiness.

Future.

Growing up isn't too hard,

I will support you in all,

And we shall together rise above after our great fall,

For growing up is realizing all I can do,

For people exactly like you,

Teach, build, and dream,

Time flowing like a stream,

Pushing us to live in the moment and help all.

Future.

I will continue to rise,

Love, support, help, and confide,

In the disabled and ill community,

For we join in unity,

To hold each other up, above our pain and suffering,

To show the world  we aren't nothing,

Growing up is strength in both physical and mental sense,

I will grow nonetheless.

Future.
