Growing Into My Crown

20 year old Queen

sitting on 20 year old dreams

I said sitting not standing

she gotta have courage for that and she ain’t there

yet

meet her at the top

wave when you get there instead of lending a hand to pull her up

she needs to climb that mountain on her own

cross those bridges

try not to burn them with those hot feet

drops those thoughts of doubt

no time to doubt, never doubt the time

or lack there of rather

cause you, 20 year old Queen

sitting on 20 year old dreams

yup, sitting

need to stand up

how else do you expect to walk?
